In motion, something recharges.
Life force returns where it was held.
The body remembers
before the mind explains.
We learn to be more like the river,
and less like the rocks.
Dance becomes a quiet affirmation
of life against numbness.
A way back to the self
that doesn’t perform, but exists.

Group Classes
'Leve-Leve' - a whispered expression carried by the waves of São Tomé, the island where my beloved mother was born, where time dances slowly, and the body knows how to listen to silence. It is from here that this project was born: Regular dance and therapeutic movement classes, inspired by this way of living — light, fluid, present. A space to move without technique, yet with intention. To dance what lives within us, without rush, without fixed form. Here, every gesture is creation. Every movement, unique. Every pause, composition. Every encounter, a place of discovery, of union.
Duration:
1h30
When:
Every Monday (7:45 - 9:15 pm)
Location:
Palácio Ribamar - Algés

1:1 Sessions
An individual, private, and personalized dance and therapeutic movement program. An invitation to dive from micro to macro — from an intimate body listening to expansion into space. Between deconstruction and reconstruction, we explore movement as a path of presence, expression, and transformation. Each session is tailored to individual needs, honoring your rhythm, sensitivity, and the moment you are in.

Fluxo
After 5 editions, the 6th is on its way. Fluxo is a proprietary, guided proposal for personal and collective inquiry, unfolding through fluid, wave-like, spiral, and circular movements as a foundation for bodily and creative expression. We dive into group and individual dynamics within a safe space, in the context of therapeutic movement and attentive listening to your emotional world. Research into your own movement is enriched with other non-verbal arts and languages - such as drawing, visual projections, and other tools - which act as bridges to expanding awareness and self-knowledge in an introspective process. Through improvisation and creation, both individual and collective, we investigate the origins of emotions and sensations, allowing us to reframe experiences that the body holds in memory.

Through therapeutic movement, improvisation, and shared creation, we explore the body as a living language, cultivating presence, emotional awareness, authentic expression, and connection. Enriched by the visual arts, contact with nature, and the use of natural elements, this immersion supports a profound process of self-discovery.

ÁUA - The Language of Water
ÁUA means water in São Tomé, one of my ancestral homelands. Women. We are emotion and deep feeling. We are the serenity of the lake, the power of the waterfall, the intensity of the rising and falling waves of a restless sea. We are river, in constant movement, evolution and transformation. We are the sensitivity and depth of the ocean. It is with deep joy that I share this new project, born from the invisible currents of my oceanic soul. An invitation to dive into movement, the wisdom and living codes of water, and the present listening of the body. We will be joined by special guest Vi Sama, who will gift us with his intimate, sensitive and fluid music, accompanying this beautiful journey with his unique presence. Together, we will explore and embody the different qualities of water and its many forms of creative and bodily expression, both individually and collectively.

"Through Micaela and her work, I rediscovered the joy of moving my body - held in a space of respect and acceptance. The work is beautiful, deep, and deeply intentional. I felt parts of my body and movements I had forgotten existed, or never knew were possible. Something opened in me - to keep walking, to keep dancing. Micaela is movement, creation, and light!"

Movement is my life force — the language through which my soul speaks. It has been, since childhood, my favorite playground: rewinding cassettes, letting rhythm open a portal where imagination could grow wings. Since then, dance has remained a space of creation, a way of sensing the world and building a life that feels deeply aligned with who I am.
Even before I took my first breath, this path was already being woven. I come from two souls who also dance — my mother and my father — who, in their own ways, carried rhythm as a way of being. From them, I inherited not only a love for movement, but a quiet knowing that the body holds stories, that expression can be a form of truth. In me, their currents meet and continue to unfold.
Born from islands — São Tomé e Príncipe and Terceira, Azores — I carry within me a geography of contrasts. These origins live in my body, and through them I navigate the layers of being, my shifting archetypes, and the ever-evolving dialogue between grounding and expansion.

Rooted in Oriental Dance and shaped by a multidisciplinary path — from Fine Arts and Communication Design, with years of international experience across Europe — I walk guided by sensitivity and intuition. After 16 years abroad, I deepened this path through training in dance therapy and psychotherapy applied to movement and art, recognizing dance not only as expression, but as a profound tool for integration and healing, where inner and outer worlds meet. Guided by a deep devotion to learning, I am currently applying for a Master’s degree in Dance Movement Therapy.
In my heart, dance stands as a sacred language of self-discovery — a place to encounter the self across dimensions, to remember, to transform. I hold this work as a lifelong devotion: a vessel for growth, nourishment, and empowerment, both personal and collective, guided by the quiet knowing that within the body, we already carry the path back to ourselves.
